A woman has lost her bid in the High Court to have her divorce settlement from her ex-banker substantially increased.
According to the Telegraph, the woman claimed that the £4.17 million offered to her by her husband as her share of the couple's joint assets of £9.7 million would not be enough to maintain her standard of living. She argued that she should also be entitled to a share of her estranged husband's pre-marital assets, which were worth £2.1 million at the time of their marriage.
The judge did not agree, and the husband was allowed to keep the majority of his pre-marital assets.
